Your Solution For Environmental Sampling

ABOUT US
At Environmental Drilling and Drones, we are dedicated to providing high-quality environmental sampling using our well equipped Geoprob 7822DT and expertise in collecting samples for scientific investigations. Our team is committed to working with our scientific partners to deliver representative samples as safely, accurately, and efficient as possible. Our goal, is to work with our clients to provide the samples they need, to collect the data they will use, to make the decisions that will impact the site.
Conveniently located in the Albuquerque area, we have the ability to mobilize to your site quickly to get your project moving forward.
For the safety of your team and ours we require a GPR scan to clear utilities prior to sampling, and will always run a two man crew to ensure the safest possible procedures are being followed. Our 7822DT is caged for drilling with hollow stem auger to ensure the safest conditions around rotating parts.
We look forward to working with your team to collect the samples you need, and get the answers your client is waiting for.
"Come on geo, let's go probing"
Our Rig
The Geoprobe 7822 DT
Our Geoprobe 7822DT is a versatile drill rig that has the capabilities for both direct push and rotary drilling. The rig is equipped with a GH63 Series Percussion Hammer with a percussion rate of 32-Hz, a hammer rotation torque of 560-ft-lbs, and a hammer rotation speed of 200-rpm. The drill mast has a head crowd force of 36,000-lbs and a head pull force of 48,000-lbs. The rig is equipped with a four speed rotary head which produces 4,000-ft-lbs of torque with a maximum rotational speed of 750-rpm. Fully deployed the rig is 15.6-ft tall, has a width of 5.8-ft, and a length of 14-ft. We need approximately 5-ft of clearance between the rig and any structures.

OUR CAPABILITIES

DUAL TUBE 22 SAMPLING SYSTEM
Our Geoprobe 7822DT can perform continuous core sampling with the DT22 soil sampling system to 80-ft bgs. Ideal in softer conditions, the 2.25-in. OD rods collect a 1.125-in. continuous core sample in a 4-ft long acetate tube.

Macro Core 5 (MC5)
Sampling System
The MC5 soil sampling system can deliver samples from 80-ft bgs. This method is ideal for tough drilling locations and where more sample volume is required. Th 2.25-in. OD rods collect a 1.5-in. core sample in a 4-ft long acetate tube.

Hollow Stem Auger (HSA)
with Continuous Sampling
Our rig has the capabilities to run 8.25-in OD hollow stem auger with 4.25-in continuous core sampling. The auger is ideal for the toughest drilling conditions and where monitoring well installations are needed.

SP 16 Groundwater Sampling
If only groundwater sampling is needed, the SP-16 groundwater sampling system is the choice for quick and accurate groundwater sampling. A 1.5-in probe rod is driven to depth and a stainless steel screen is extended out of the bottom of the drill string to collect samples. We utilize a peristaltic pump to bring groundwater to the surface.

Soil Vapor Implants
If only soil vapor sampling is required, the soil vapor sampling system gets the job done. A 1.5-in probe rod is driven to depth and a stainless steel soil gas implant is installed at the bottom of the string, isolating the sample depth. 1/4-in. poly tube is connected to the implant and a soil gas sample can be extracted.

Drone Services
We provide a variety of drone services including: photography, videography, thermal imaging, solar photovoltaic inspections, survey-grade mapping, volumetric analysis, water-body sampling, asset management, real time project updates, and more. We fly a DJI Matrice 300 RTK with H2OT thermal inspection camera to capture the precise details you need.
